 Saludo de Mike Didier (chicago): Ola, La Moraleja, I was one of the American kids living in La Moraleja 1967-1970 and enjoyed our visit while we were away from our country. I hope I was a good ambassador for my country while ther visiting. People in Madrid did not understand our presence there in those days and to be honest we were not sure either as 16-17 yr old young people but we were having a good time blending our culture with the spanish culture. I was very, very fortunate to find so many nice and accepting spanish people to be around while I was there-- rich or poor--they lived life in a happy way and usually were interested in being helpful and sharing which bridged the gaps of our cultures. We saw a different way of life that I will always remember as a positive part in growing up and excepting cultural/political differences; finding people to be very much alike anywhere with the barriers being language typically and just human stubbornness as the other. I have always wanted to come back but do not know when and wether I could afford it- the familiar faces that made it great are all gone-now just good memories. This internet however makes and breaks many barriers allowing us to find old and new friends, using communications not available before reaching farther out. We are living the future but I am still remembering my friends and aquaintenances over in Madrid I have lost over 30 yrs ago. Good Luck, La Moraleja Mike Didier.

VIVA ROYAL OAKS! Estabamos en Royal Oaks desde 1968 hasta 1971. Viviamos en cuartos 219-D. Ahora vivo en Atlanta, Georgia USA. Yo soy el 'chico' en la segunda fila del foto rugby, tercero de la izquierda. Espero que puede entender lo que escribo. Hacia mucho tiempo a practicar espanol. Me gusta esta sitio de La Moraleja.
